Introduction

The world is full of hard-working people (doctors, scientists, computer programmers, writers, sportsmen, artists, teachers, etc.) With their work our lives are easier and more interesting and we are happier.

These are five important people for us: Toni Morrison, Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin, Ada Augusta Byron, Marjorie Jackson Nelson, and Edmonia Lewis. Do you know them? What do they have in common?

With this WebQuest you will learn about their lives, works, and places of residence, and you will be able to show your findings to the rest of your school.

You will work in pairs and groups and you will have different roles: biographers, work researchers and travel agents. Are you ready to begin?
